ROMANIA BASED NIGERIAN FOOTBALLER DIES ON PITCH



21 years old  Henry Chinonso Ihelewere, a Nigerian playing football in Romania has died.

He died on Sunday on the pitch while his team was playing against a local team known as FC Balotești. He collapsed after 15 minutes and was taken to hospital but after an hour of of resuscitation attempts was pronounced dead.

Ihelewere had been playing in Romania since 2007, when he was transferred to FC Farul. He was part of a group of Nigerian players brought in to play in Romania's second division.

May his gentle soul rest in peace!
